Personalized Coaching Service

Our Personalized Coaching Services are a partnership between the coach, client, and their care partner to help navigate through a diagnosis, maximizing their brain health and wellness and overall quality of life. Research shows at all ages the incorporation of good brain health practices directly translates to better overall health. More and more science is indicating that the way we live our lives - our good and bad habits - has a significant impact on the development of neurodegenerative disease.

Our dedicated coaches focus on the 6 Pillars of Brain Health - Quality Energy and Fuel (Nutrition), Physical Exercise, Cognitive Stimulation, Stress Management, Restorative Sleep, Avoidance of Toxins, Injury, and Illness. During their sessions, our coaches and clients develop a relationship built on trust and respect that allows them to explore what is best for the client and care partner. Our coaches support their clients in taking action, creating plans, and achieving goals based on their client’s needs and experiences to better their overall brain health and wellness.

While our volunteer coaching crew consists of both practicing and retired members of the medical community, we are not your healthcare providers. Any changes to your exercise, diet, and/or adding of supplements into your routine should be discussed with your healthcare provider(s).

We lose a little more of mom every day. And it is so hard. I want to be able to promise my kids that they will never have to lose me in that way. Thank you to the Brain Center for the HOPE you are providing the community.

KATHY HILGENBERG, RN (RETIRED)

Volunteer Coach

Kathy reports: “the many years of nursing could not have prepared me for the very difficult and personal journey of caring for a loved one. The journey with my mom started 13 years ago. We were told at that time that there was medication for Alzheimer’s Disease and that a new and better one was being developed and would be available within the year. Sadly, my mom will never see that day. And still, after all these years, there have been few medical advancements toward finding a cure.”
