Discovering Brain Health at Any Age!

When I met my great-grandfather after a gap of a few years, he wasn’t able to recognize my mom and me. Later, my mom told me he had dementia. It was then I started researching different issues related to brain health. The more I read, the more I realized how big of an issue this was worldwide. One out of every few people are diagnosed with a mental health challenge. Diseases that affect the brain not only impact the patient, but also their families and friends. While searching for an opportunity to contribute in the field of neuroscience, I came across the Brain Center of Green Bay online. I found it interesting and important that they are conveying a message relating to how to improve your brain health over the years.

One piece of advice I would give to younger people is that you should limit your screen time and enjoy nature as it improves your focus and creativity. I am a sophomore at Notre Dame Academy. My favorite subjects are chemistry and mathematics. I play tennis and piano and participate in two different types of Indian classical dance. I am fond of reading. I love spending time with my family and friends as we travel together to explore different places throughout the world. After high school, I plan on taking an undergraduate course in neuroscience as I plan to go into medicine.
